OPENDNS: a free DNS server that replaces your ISPs servers. OpenDns helps with internet security, and also offers web filtering (it is great for employers who want to limit access to time wasting sites, or parents who want to have some control over the types of websites their kids are exposed to) It is best installed on your router, but also works on many operating systems.
Google Apps for Business: provides web-based email, calendar, and documents for teams. It also ties together a lot of other google based properties under one umbrella. A great solution for a small business who do not want to run their own email server. Google Apps helps reduce or eliminate SPAM. Google apps allows you to use your own domain, and there is a free version for organizations with 10 or fewer email addresses. If you need more then that they have a paid for version as well.

Vice President, BMR Structural Engineering Limited Halifax, Nova Scotia
"Approximately 20 years ago BMR Structuring Engineering Limited had three or four standalone computers. One Sunday afternoon we had a deadline looming and one of our computers failed. We called Ted and he arrived at our office within minutes and within half an hour had determined we had a virus. In fact we had the same virus in all our computers within the office. Ted had us up and running again within an hour and we met our deadline. Throughout the past 20 years we have used the services of The Computer Guy exclusively for all our computer needs. We purchase all our new computers from The Computer Guy and he developed our first in-house network and has upgraded our networks and computers as we have required over the years.
We have always found Ted Tupper to be extremely responsive and the services he has provided have been fantastic. Never once since we first met Ted has he failed to meet or exceed our expectations. We currently have an in-house network of approximately 20 desktop computers, servers, printers, etc. and have large numbers of relatively large digital files with back-up systems in place all maintained by The Computer Guy.
In closing, we would enthusiastically recommend The Computer Guy for all your computer and network needs and would be pleased to receive calls or inquiries from prospective clients who would like to discuss the performance of The Computer Guy."
